Communication

I have come to understand that nursing is 80% communication and 20% skills. Communication is always a work in progress. The Leadership class combined with various presentations throughout the year have allowed for a better understanding of how important communication skills are in nursing. I became familiar with presenting as a group and presenting a well rounded argument. During clinical sessions I attempted to improve on my therapeutic communication skills while interacting with patients, families, and staff.

Access to Health Care – As a group project my peers and myself researched the pro/cons of socialized medicine and presented the topic to a class of 30 nursing students.
